The BLACK & GOLD collection was inspired by the mirrored ceiling of the palace Chehel Sotun in the Persian city of Isfahan dated back in the Safavid decade (1501 – 1732). The palace is located in a large park with a water basin in front. The nickname “40-column-palace“ comes from the reflection of the 18 columns who carry the roof and of the two entry columns of the Thrones hall in the water. The ceilings, walls, window grids, columns and arcades are painted in golden color.
